Android phones have the security feature of setting pattern, password or pin. But you may set a tricky pattern or password that you can't remember. In such cases, you will assume that your phone can't be unlocked unless you take it to the manufacturers or phone technicians. This article will teach you how to personally unlock your android's forgotten password or pattern.

Entering more than 15 wrong unlock codes or passwords will lock your phone and request you to log in to your Google account in order to unlock your phone. Don't panic because here is an easy way of resetting your phone:

Step 1:
Power off your phone and wait for a second.

Step 2:
Press the power button alongside the volume up button simultaneously. i.e hold the Volume up button + Power Button all together at the same time until the phone boots.

Step 3:
Use the volume key to move up and down then scroll down and select “Restore Factory Defaults” or “Delete all User Data” depending on your device. Upon selecting the 'Restore Factory Defaults' press the power button to initiate action. Your phone will be formatted.

Step 4:
After clicking on the settings above, now scroll down to “Reboot System Now ” and wait for your phone to reboot.

Your phone will now wake up without requesting any pattern or password.

Please no that:

The method will delete all your data including messages and apps. It's recommended that you remove your sd card before the process. Your phone will be reset to it's original state.
